I really wasn't expecting much for a steak buffet place, but I was pleasantly surprised. Although the steaks are only 5 oz's, you can go back as much as you like. The steak is top sirloin. They were very tender and juicy. Must be prime steaks! They also have a wide variety of other food on the buffet. Everything that I tried was good. The deep fried chicken was also very juicy, yum yum. For $ 11.50 a person you can't go wrong. Really, this place rocks. If you're hungry and want a great meal at a very affordable price, then this is the place to go! If I am ever in La Crosse again I will eat here again. Im going to say it again. The place rocks!

The place doesn't look like much but you'll get a great meal for about the same as you'd pay for a fast-food combo meal. Today, the going rate for all you can eat steak lunch is $8.85. Drinks are extra. The steaks are sirloin and not the highest quality but they do a decent job with them. A mechanical tenderizer would be a great addition to their kitchen. They also offer all-u-can-eat grilled chicken breast or really good burgers off the grill (no waiting). Baked potatoes, hashbrowns, fries are also served. The weird thing is my favorite part of the place is not the steaks. Instead, they have a great salad bar. It's all-u-can-eat. I load up a plate with salad and order a chicken breast to slice and put on top for lunch. It's hard to beat. The rest of the food is normal buffet, cafeteria-style food. They usually have pasta with sauce and bread sticks, fried or baked chicken, mashed potatoes, canned soups and vegetables but nothing special about them. They open a can and heat them up. Desserts are offered but are the same sort of pre-packaged cafeteria fare. They do have real ice cream, though. The place is VERY casual and a little bit dated. The place is It's a great place to go on a budget and an excellent alternative to fast food.

Same style since it opened. Food has taken a dive with microwave pizzas, lukewarm burgers, and canned spaghetti sauces. I ordered a steak medium rare, while the color was good the fat wasn't rendered, no seasoning, and felt boiled. The service was friendly. The dessert and salad bar were great, the only thing saving it from a one star review.

I usually don't eat red meat, but when in Rome.... this place was fantastic. Everything was fresh,very little gristle in the steak, the chicken was excellent, there are a lot of veggies and other healthy accompaniments, and the desserts are very good quality and homemade-type. I wish we had this in Boston!

Buffet humble however their steaks were incredible. The steak alone is worth the meal cost, so tender and juicy.

Small buffet, not even half the choices of old country buffet which I think is great because it makes everything fresher. Grilled chicken, steak and burgers you have to go to a special counter tell him what you want and how you want it done and he puts it on the grill in front of you and a minute later its done. Usually asks what kind of potato you want to and puts on grill like hash browns. I think it is a good place especially considering I don't like buffets. Didn't check out the desserts but saw they had cake, pie and ice cream. Overall I will definitely go there again. The only thing I didn't like was the animals on the wall.

Decor definitely reminds me of up north! A taxidermist showcase! All you can eat buffet. Clean and service good. Steaks were made to order. Chicken breast was delicious. Salad bar ok.. Missing fresh fruit and tomatoes .. Nice selection of desserts.. All for $10.50/person!
